Internships

Monteillet Fromagerie is a vibrant community of work and life in the heart of Washington wheat country. Set on 32 acres with beautiful pasture for raising free range goats, sheep, poultry, piggys and access to the river where we humans swim in the summer heat and sauna in the winter at the log sauna. As a true ecosystem centered on our farmstead artisanal cheesemaking operation, we strive to foster a lifestyle that is creative, both physically and spiritually, as well as economically.

We offer limited internship opportunities in cheesework as well as milking chores, animal husbandry, organic gardening, stream restoration, tree planting along the meandering Touchet River, and a myriad of farm projects. We prefer volunteers who can stay and learn with us for the full season from April through October.

“We are developing a new space of community, creating new realities of how to dance in unison and dance with the joy of our work accomplishments to become better citizens on this mother earth. We are the people in the mirror. Our mission is to preserve the traditions of living well by comprehending the past and saving the future.”
